The gateway to the Pale

Passo Rolle sits at 1,984 metres and is one of the most panoramic mountain passes in the Dolomites. You arrive and the Pale are right in front of you.

It is a wide, luminous plateau, crossed by alpine meadows and surrounded by peaks that seem very close. From here, easy hikes and more demanding treks depart in summer. In winter, it is a reference point for alpine skiing and ski mountaineering.

The landscape is open. The air thinner.

Passo Rolle is not simply a place of passage. It is a place to stop, take a photograph, walk without a specific destination. A threshold between valley and high altitude. One of the most scenographic in the Dolomites.
