PALACE SUITE Trieste

TheLiberty

White, tall, ornate. Statues, grotesque masks, floral elements climbing the facade as if someone simply could not stop. Our building is exactly like that: exuberant outside, silent within. Suites overlooking two pedestrian streets, for a hushed sensation. The kind you get walking into a real apartment. But in this case, with all the comforts of a hotel alongside. Yes, you are passing through Trieste, but it feels as if you actually live here.

Our suites

Real apartments: a living room, a kitchen, parquet floors, a front door. No reception to pass through, no timetables to respect. Just Trieste outside the window, quiet the way only pedestrian streets can be. For those who come for a few days or a few weeks, and want the comforts of a hotel without feeling like they are in one.

OurMicrocosm

Our Palace Suite is on the same block as the other two sister properties in our The Begin Hotels collection. On our very street stands the Continentale, where check-in takes place and where breakfast is served every morning. Two minutes away, The Modernist with its Bistro is the rebellious soul of our family for informal evenings. Three hotels with three distinct characters, within a hundred metres. The freedom to choose every day where to be, what to eat, which side of Trieste to reveal.

Breakfast

Every morning, across the street, the Sala Stucchi of the Café Continentale waits with its hushed atmosphere. You sit down without hurry, order a good coffee – or a Nero, as we call it here – and while you enjoy the yogurt with our house-made granola, the eggs arrive freshly made. Warm, cooked to order. Perhaps alongside our French Toast with red berries, still hot and soaked in maple syrup. When the season allows, the tables spill out onto the dehors, just a few steps from the Palace Suite entrance. The kind of morning that makes the whole stay worthwhile.

Il Café Continentale

From the Consommé Italia of 1921 to today's Italian haute cuisine, the Café Continentale has never stopped being a serious place. Serious in the best sense: carefully chosen ingredients, dishes built with care, a hushed atmosphere that invites you to linger. The kitchen speaks Italian without clichés, with a discreet refinement that belongs to places that are sure of themselves. Somewhere you eat really well, in a room that seems designed to make time slow down.

The Modernist

Two minutes on foot, a different world. The Modernist Bistro has an urban, decontracted energy that lights up in the evening: music, craft cocktails, an easy international cuisine designed for sharing. Dishes from around the world eaten with your hands, colourful finger food, a drinks list that goes straight to your head. For evenings when you do not want to be too composed.

Experience

Trieste needs time. Coffees drunk slowly, afternoons on the Molo Audace, aimless walks among the antiquarian bookshops of Via San Nicolò. Our team knows the Trieste that never makes it onto tourist brochures. They already know what to suggest.
