OurPersonality

The Romantic Industrial

An elegant, proud flower, yet with a hint of shyness. A straight and powerful stem, blooms that are striking and delicate at once, the way romantic personalities sometimes are. A flower with many hybrids, much like the SeePort's microcosm, which softens its industrial soul with romantic touches. We chose it for its Greek name, as a tribute to the city it calls home. Amaryllis means "she who shines", just as the sun does here, rising and setting between the waves, and just as the lighthouse does in Ancona's port, which this flower resembles. We chose it in the Arabian Night variety: open to the world, and to the East in particular, as this Doric city has always been.

What we believe in

We believe every stay is different, whether for leisure or work, and that every person brings their own wishes and their own hesitations. Our role, as we see it, is to notice the nuances. We are convinced that a genuine, spontaneous smile is the hardest thing to learn, because it cannot be taught. Our approach is warm, but we would never call it domestic, because anyone who comes to us should feel something more than at home. We love surprising our Guests, and we would never call them clients, with small thoughtful gestures: a welcome in the room, a birthday note, a handpicked arrangement, a chef's recipe to take home.

Who we are
The Begin Hotels

We are a collection. And, like all collections, our pieces are unique. Rather than a seamless chain of identical atmospheres, we chose to bring together a set of properties, each one different, in places selected with care. Away from the usual well-trodden paths. Because we believe Italy is full of beauties waiting to be discovered by those who take the time to look slowly. We are cocoon and we want to embrace, without ever imposing. Like our atmospheres, which envelop without overwhelming. They blend into the territory and let it speak: through details, colours and scents. We are The Begin Hotels. And we hope that, the moment you cross the threshold of our worlds, you will feel as if you have always belonged.

Feel you belong. As we always say.

We are part of a garden and a collection

...and, as in every family worth the name,

each of our children has a personality of their own.

The hotels of the Collection

SeeBay Hotel - Portonovo Bay

The Mystical.

Nestled in the green of the Parco del Conero, steps from crystal-clear water. A place to disconnect and find yourself again, simply by listening to the sound of leaves in the wind and the song of the cicadas. Even better with a cocktail by the pool or a massage in the Private Spa.

Hotel Continentale - Trieste

The Classic.

Muffled atmosphere and timeless elegance. One of the first hotels in the city, on its most literary street, facing Saba's bookshop and the building where Joyce wrote several chapters of Ulysses. We have completely restored it, preserving its heritage while embracing the LEED sustainability certification.

The Modernist Hotel - Trieste

The Rebel.

Every family has one, everyone knows it. Ours even writes on the ceilings and breaks every rule. Impertinent, we have to admit. It even eats without a fork and puts everything in the middle of the table. But honestly, that is exactly why we love it.

Palace Suite - Trieste

The Liberty.

On the same street as Hotel Continentale, its façade is covered in floral decorations and mascarons. We have sixteen apartments for those seeking an independent stay with all the comforts of a hotel. We have big plans for this one, to bring out its dandy, Liberty soul, ornate and elusive all at once.

Hotel Giardino dei Pini - Salento

The Unhurried.

It has been proven: the moment you arrive, your pace slows down, almost magically. We cannot reveal the secret, but a pool and a century-old pine forest certainly help. A green oasis, close to Gallipoli, Leuca, the Maldives of Salento, Punta Prosciutto, Porto Cesareo, Lecce and Otranto, yet sheltered from the crowds.

Casa d'Este - Ferrara

The Distinguished.

Can the Renaissance be pop and also metaphysical? In our Casa d'Este, styles and philosophies converge, just as they did at the court of the castle right across from us, once home to Niccolò II and Alfonso I d'Este, patrons of the avant-garde. Our property interprets the Renaissance legacy through two very different readings, from Ferrara red walls to portraits of the Signoria's protagonists. Add a touch of magic with a Private Spa overlooking the castle and a creative osteria by a Michelin-starred chef. Called Isabella, of course.

Hotel Sayonara - Dolomites

The Alpine.

Facing the UNESCO landscape of the majestic Pale di San Martino di Castrozza, our mountain chalet is a contemporary retreat, balancing the warmth of a Gasthaus with the clean lines of Scandinavian design. Our Spa, however, is anything but minimal: with 1,000 square metres and a vast glass wall onto the Dolomites, the wow effect hits from the indoor pool. Imagine stepping outside into the heated outdoor Jacuzzi. It feels like a rite of passage. Many people describe it exactly that way.
