DISTANCES
The hotel is right in the centre of Trieste, 6 minutes' walk from Piazza Unità d'Italia and 11 minutes from the Cathedral of San Giusto.
We are about 32 km from Trieste – Ronchi dei Legionari Airport (TRS). Bus: a shuttle service (bus number 51) connects the airport to the city centre and is coordinated with the arrival of the main flights. The ticket costs €5.00. Taxi: taxis are in service from 8:00 AM to midnight (Tel. +39 0481 778000). They can be found at the exit of the arrivals area and the fare to the city centre to reach the hotel is approximately €65.00.
Venice Marco Polo Airport is about 150 km from Trieste. A shuttle service connects the airport to Venice-Mestre railway station (journey time approximately 30 minutes). The train journey from Venice-Mestre to Trieste takes approximately 2 hours.
Ljubljana Airport is about 115 km from Trieste. The fastest way to reach Trieste is then by taxi or by hiring a car.
About 14 minutes' walk from Trieste Centrale railway station.
Those arriving by train can choose to reach the hotel by taxi or on foot. Taxi: taxis (Tel. +39 040 307730 – service available 24 hours a day) are found beside the station (track exit) and the journey to the hotel takes approximately 5 minutes. On foot: approximately 15 minutes. On leaving the station, take the road leading to Piazza Unità d'Italia, until you reach Via San Nicolò, the pedestrian zone: we are at number 25.
The hotel is 850 metres from Spiaggia di Levante and 350 metres from the Canal Grande di Trieste.
With a short walk you can reach the Molo Audace and the picturesque Bagni de El Pedocin, known for having separate entrances for women and men, divided by a wall.
ZTL AND PARKING
Yes, the hotel is in a pedestrian area. You can drive to the hotel corner: once in the city centre, coming from Corso Italia or Via Del Teatro Romano, take Via San Spiridione and you will reach the loading/unloading areas reserved for the hotel.
No, we do not have a private car park, but we offer various solutions for our guests.
Hotel Continentale offers a valet parking service with pick-up and drop-off of the car, kept in a covered garage located outside the city centre, at a daily rate of €38.00. Car delivery and pick-up takes place from 7:00 AM to midnight; a supplement of €10.00 is applied for pick-up or delivery during night hours.
For those who prefer to park independently, nearby is the Park San Giusto: the cost for overnight parking (from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM) is €5.00, with a maximum of €22.00 for 24 hours. The hotel offers, subject to space availability, a partnership that allows a 15% discount on the rate (the discount is valid for stays of more than 5 hours). Those who choose this option can drive directly to the garage by entering "Via del Teatro Romano 16" in their navigation device and, once parked, reach the hotel on foot in a few minutes.
Near the hotel, finally, there are public blue-stripe parking spaces, with an hourly rate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM starting from €1.60 per hour.

Yes, the Café Continentale Restaurant is here, which also has a small outdoor terrace on the pedestrian street. Open for lunch and dinner. In winter, closed on Mondays.
Our menus already include gluten-free and vegan options. For intolerances, just let us know in advance and we will be happy to put together something that meets your needs and still does justice to good food.
